In September 2025, Robotic Concepts LLC arranged for the transfer of Ausdroid.net to a new operator. After running the website for over 15 years, we felt it was time to pass the baton to someone else who can continue developing it as a trusted source of technology news.
As of 17 September 2025, the transfer process is underway but not yet concluded. We’ll update this page once the handover is complete.
While we will continue to post outstanding reviews and the occasional article here and there, for all intents and purposes, our involvement with Ausdroid is drawing to a close.
What This Means for You
If you’re seeing this page, chances are you are either:
- a public relations professional who has worked with Ausdroid, or
- a valued partner in our guest posting or sponsored content space. Here’s what changes going forward:
For PR & Media Contacts
Although our time with Ausdroid is ending, I will continue working in the technology news space and would love to keep our relationship going.
- You can reach me directly at chris (at) rowland.net.au, and if you already have my mobile number, that still works too.
- You can also get in touch via the Contact page. We’ll be publishing ongoing reviews and interesting tech content at Chris Talks Gadgets. While the audience will naturally be smaller and more niche, we hope it will remain valuable for news, reviews, and commentary.
Please stay in touch — I’d love to keep working together.
For Guest Posting & Sponsored Content Partners
Guest posting and sponsored content opportunities will not continue on Chris Talks Gadgets, nor will they be available on Ausdroid going forward. We are grateful to those who supported us in this space over the years.
Refunds for Sponsored Content Credit
If you have a credit balance with us, we’ll be in touch once the site transfer is completed to arrange a refund of any amounts owing. Please be patient — there are a lot of moving pieces right now, and it may take a few days to finalise.
Existing Content
Our understanding is that the new site operator will keep all existing content live. If you have queries about content already published on Ausdroid, you will need to direct them to the new operator in due course, as we won’t be able to assist.
Looking Back
Running Ausdroid — with my colleagues Dan, Jason, Scott, Phil, Duncan, Alex, David and everyone else who has been part of the team over the years — has been an absolute privilege.
Saying goodbye after 15 years isn’t easy, but it feels like the right time. Thank you for joining us on this journey, whether as a reader, partner, or friend.
On a personal note, I look forward to working with many of you in future, wherever and however our paths cross next.
— Chris Rowland
